Construction Schedule and Phasing
The following phasing information reflects initial plans for construction scheduling. Changes to the schedule and construction phasing activities may occur.
Segment 1: Southbound I-15 from I-215 interchange to Silverado Ranch

An early action item in Segment 1 will be the southbound auxiliary lane between Blue Diamond and Silverado Ranch. During construction, I-15 traffic will remain in its existing lane configuration with a reduced right shoulder.
The overall duration of work activities in Segment 1 is expected to be approximately 26 months.
Segment 2: Southbound I-15 from Tropicana Avenue to I-215

- Construction of southbound C-D roads from Tropicana Avenue to I-215
- Ramp improvements at Russell Road, Tropicana Avenue, and I-215 southbound ramps

The overall duration of work activities in Segment 4 is expected to be 20 months.
Sunset Road Bridge
The newly constructed Sunset Road Bridge will span over I-15. Construction is expected to take approximately nine months. No detour or closure is expected for Sunset Road since no crossing currently exists.
Warm Springs Road Bridge
Warm Springs Road is an existing bridge spanning over I-15. As part of the scope of work, the existing bridge will be removed and a new bridge constructed. During the time that Warm Springs Road is closed for construction, traffic will be detoured.
UPRR Bridge
The existing Boulder Branch UPRR bridge will be left in place and new end spans will be constructed, eliminating the need for major impacts to I-15 traffic. The end spans will be constructed during UPRR closure periods and over the new collector-distributor roads, away from mainline traffic. Shoulder reductions and closures will be needed.
