Project Overview

I-15 South Design-Build
The I-15 South Design-Build projects stretches from Tropicana Avenue to just south of Silverado Ranch Boulevard. The project includes widening the freeway, the addition of collector-distributor roads, five redesigned interchanges, 26 new bridge sections, 35 retaining walls, and 1.5 miles of sound walls.

Contractor
The contractor for I-15 South Design-Build is a team led by Las Vegas Paving Corporation.

Project Cost
The cost of the I-15 South Design-Build project is $246 million.

Funding
The I-15 South Design-Build project is funded through Assembly Bill 595 which includes funds diverted from room tax revenue and bonded through the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

Safety
On I-15 South Design-Build, safety is improved during construction as the bulk of the work is to be done outside of the main travel lanes. Ongoing motorist safety is enhanced as merging traffic is removed from the main lanes.

Preparing for Nevada’s Future
I-15 Design-Build is planned with Nevada’s future in mind. Enhancements including Intelligent Transportation System software updates will allow for future expansions and facilitate the installation and use of additional ITS components.
