I-15/Blue Diamond Closure Detour Routes

Northbound I-15 Traffic: off of Interstate 15 at Blue Diamond, Las Vegas Blvd. north to the I-15 on-ramp at Hidden Well just south of Town Square. Southbound I-15 Traffic options: Southbound I-15 to eastbound I-215 ramp, split off to Las Vegas Blvd, right on Las Vegas Blvd. to Blue Diamond Road; Southbound I-15 to westbound I-215, exit at Decatur, then south to Blue Diamond; or Southbound I-15, exit at Russell Road – east to Las Vegas Blvd. or west to Decatur then into the main detour routes to Blue Diamond Road.

Henderson-bound motorists traveling northbound on I-15 south of the closure are advised to use St. Rose Parkway east. Those using I-15 South north of the closure are advised to seek alternate routes as is possible. Prep work for the demolition will begin as early as 7 p.m. and lane restrictions will be in place in both directions. Motorists are urged to take extra caution around the traffic barricades.

Mainline Full-Closure Detour Routes

Westbound Closure Detour: Mainline traffic is detoured onto Las Vegas Blvd. off-ramp to proceed west through Las Vegas Blvd. then back onto mainline I-215. Traffic will be detoured onto the ramps that access Las Vegas Blvd. To facilitate mainline I-215 traffic flow, Las Vegas Blvd will be closed at the I-215 interchange. Las Vegas Blvd Detours: Southbound traffic will be detoured to Sunset Road right onto Gilespie St., then south to Warm Springs Road, west on Warm Springs Road to Las Vegas Blvd. northbound traffic will be detoured east onto Warm Springs Rd., then to Gilespie St., north on Gilespie St. to Hidden Well Rd. and back to Las Vegas Blvd.

Eastbound Closure Detour: Mainline traffic will be detoured onto the Las Vegas Blvd. off-ramp to proceed across Las Vegas Blvd. and back onto the eastbound mainline. Las Vegas Blvd. will be closed to northbound and southbound traffic at the I-215 interchange. Traffic will be detoured onto the ramps that access Las Vegas Blvd. To facilitate mainline I-215 traffic flow, Las Vegas Blvd. will be closed. Las Vegas Blvd. Detours: Southbound traffic will be detoured to Sunset Road right onto Gilespie St., then south to Warm Springs Road, west on Warm Springs Road to Las Vegas Blvd. Northbound traffic will be detoured east onto Warm Springs Rd., then to Gilespie St., north on Gilespie St. to Hidden Well Rd., and back to Las Vegas Blvd.

For Eastbound and Westbound Closure: Westbound mainline traffic is detoured onto Las Vegas Blvd. off-ramp to proceed west through Las Vegas Blvd. and back onto mainline I-215. Eastbound mainline traffic is detoured onto the Las Vegas Blvd. off-ramp to proceed east across Las Vegas Blvd. and back onto the eastbound mainline I-215. Las Vegas Blvd. will be closed at the I-215 interchange to accommodate mainline traffic flow. Las Vegas Blvd Detours: Southbound traffic will be detoured to Sunset Road right onto Gilespie St. then south to Warm Springs Road, west on Warm Springs Road to Las Vegas Blvd. Northbound traffic will be detoured east onto Warm Springs Rd., then to Gilespie St., north on Gilespie St. to Hidden Well Rd. and Back to Las Vegas Blvd.
